The Perfects

The Perfects are the wolves that walked the earth before the fall. They have been around for countless years and know nearly every story and legend of the land that there is to be told. They are invincible, immortal, and have mastery over every element in nature and over every single power - but out of fear of becoming Tainted they do not use their powers for anything but good, even if it means not fighting a Tainted One. A Perfect can loose their status and become a Tainted One by doing a selfish or evil deed. Slowly they will decay and loose their powers and their invincibility will wither away.

Appearance:
Generally they are large and muscular, but a few can get very small and quite petite. They can be any color but are usually lighter in tint with arcane markings and runes scattered through their fur. They have less menacing horns and spikes than The Tainted Ones, but it still isn't uncommon to see a Perfect with bone growths. Long tails or double tails also seem to be popular with these wolves.

The Fallen

The Normal Wolf

The Fallen are those that are born into the world after the fall, or offspring of their own kind. They generally only have mastery over one element in nature, and are neither immortal or invincible. The Fallen have extended lifespans and can live for hundreds of years. Sadly enough, a lot of The Fallen have become what some Perfects refer to as "Feral," in that they act like animals and fight against one another more than they should against the curse and their enemies, the Tainted Ones.

Appearance:
The Fallen can have normal or strangely colored fur, but they lack any extra growths including second tails or spikes. They are, in all essence, common wolves with extraordinary powers. Their looks vary though, coats can hold any color or pattern imaginable.

The Tainted Ones

When a Perfect commits a selfish or hateful deed they become Tainted by the curse. The curse does not destroy them suddenly, but slowly over the coarse of a few weeks, first sapping their power and then changing their appearance. Most Tainted become spiteful of the The Fallen because their ancestors made it possible for the Tainted to become what they are. The Tainted are immortal but not invincible. They heal from wounds at an alarming rate, and can survive just about any fall. They seemingly never fatigue, unless they are just being themselves and getting lazy, and can bring down a team of 3-4 wolves with no problem all by themselves. To take down a Tainted One it would generally require a pack of wolves in a combined effort, or another Tainted.

Appearance:
Tainted are usually very menacing looking, just by nature. They CAN, but doesn't mean they always do, have strange bone growths that hinder rather than help what would otherwise be a normal function. An example would be spikes out of the back - this could appear very dangerous and be a good defense, but it would also prohibit the Tainted from doing normal things like scent-rolling. Their fur is almost always awkward in color and is rarely natural looking, like the Children of the Fallen, and their eyes can be any assortment of colors.

The Bastards

Any species of animal that has an inkling of wolfen blood in them is simply referred to as a 'Bastard' by the Tainted. No matter how much blood of a wolf they have in them, even if it is centuries old, they still possess the same abilities of their cousins. Animals that have this are always other canines, including foxes for some awkward reason.
